Spaces and materials

Spaces at the nursery school are the 'second educator' as it conveys important messages for children, suggests behaviors, determines states of mind, is a bearer of meanings and is a place of relationship and communication.
A child-friendly environment, where each corner is organized according to age and educational purpose.
Furnishings and materials are designed to foster autonomy, exploratory growth and to promote an active position, to try and try again, discover, experiment, research and invent.
Design of spaces and their organization also gives importance to the dimension of personalization so that every child can feel that in the community space there is a place designed and dedicated to him, in which the can store his things, sit, find his history.
Rooms are organized in 'corners of interest' that offer multiple possibilities for play, movement, concentration, socialization, free exploration and learning, where children can stay individually, in pairs or in a small group.
Each section has a nap-room, equipped with cribs and soft 'nests' in which the little ones can crawl.
At the entrance of the nursery is the "Piazza", a collective area designed to encourage meeting and the relationship between educators and families and between children and educators of different sections. Large structures stimulate movement play and sound explorations. The Piazza is particularly used on rainy days when it is not possible to go out in the garden.

The Garden is a large educational space full of large trees, bordered and protected, that allows to play outdoors in safety. The garden allows to run, jump, climb, satisfying the movement needs of the child and encouraging the acquisition of autonomy and collaboration with friends according to a common purpose. Outdoor education supports the natural curiosity of children for all living beings, the observation of seasonal changes and the will to take care of the plants in the educational garden.
